Burglary reported at home in Árbær

Police received a report of a burglary at a home in Árbær, Reykjavík, mbl.is reported. The case is under investigation.

In the same district, police reported a driver for driving a car fitted with studded tyres. The driver may face a fine.

In Mosfellsbær, a driver was reported for speeding after being recorded at 148 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.

Two drivers were stopped in Árbær on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotic and addictive substances.

Police on Hverfisgata received a report of shouting and threats from an individual in Múlahverfi, but the person was not found despite a search. Another individual was removed from a hotel in the same neighbourhood after being told they were not welcome.

Police also received a report of a traffic accident. No injuries were reported.

In central Reykjavík, a person was reported after ordering food at a restaurant and refusing to pay.

Two drivers were reported by police in Kópavogur and Breiðholt for speeding. Both were driving at 122 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

The incidents were recorded in the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police log covering operations from 5pm on Thursday until 5am on Friday.
