The Central Finland Police Department is investigating a serious crime against life and health that occurred on the border of the Halssila and Jyska residential areas in Jyväskylä. One person has been detained in connection with the incident. The investigating officer, Paavo Ritari, has not provided information on whether anyone was killed or injured, or what crime is suspected to have taken place.

On Tuesday morning, the police were examining a suspected crime scene, cordoned off with tape, near Tammirinne School in Jyska, Jyväskylä. The investigation was conducted with the assistance of a police dog. The cordoned-off area is located along a walking trail.

The crime occurred on Sunday night in the woodland area near Tammirinne School in Jyska. The investigating officer assures that there is no longer any danger to the public in the area.

The police have requested the public to report any unusual activity in the area that may have occurred on Sunday night between 9:30-10:00 pm. Observations can be reported to the police by phone at 050-456 0471.

Investigating officer Ritari says that the police have received tips related to the events but are still hoping for more. This is also the reason for the scant information available. He believes that there were likely people in the area at the time of the incident and hopes they can provide information on what they saw.
