Faroese elderly care faces staff, housing and funding shortages

More people are expected to need elderly care in the Faroe Islands as life expectancy increases, while the sector is already under pressure, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

In several parts of the country, there is a shortage of both employees and residential places. At the same time, the funds that have so far financed elderly care are running short.
