Rapper Erpur rejects renewed EU accession talks

Rapper Erpur “Blaz Roca” Eyvindarson has said he will vote against resuming Iceland’s accession talks with the European Union in Saturday’s referendum, mbl.is reports.

In a Facebook post, he shared a screenshot from 2015 showing his position on the EU at the time and said little had changed. The only difference, he wrote, was that the EU’s economic outlook had been considerably brighter 11 years ago.

“No means no, the EU is trash,” Erpur wrote, alongside an Icelandic flag emoji.
