Police respond to domestic disturbance in South-East Police District, Norway

Police were alerted to a domestic disturbance at 1:44 AM on Thursday. Responding to a call from a household member, officers found a woman in a state of agitation, reportedly smashing a television and other items. Upon entry, the officers were confronted by the woman wielding a knife. In response, the police deployed an electroshock weapon to subdue her in order to protect themselves, as explained by operations leader Eskil Hagen Olsen from the South-East Police District.

The woman was subsequently arrested and received medical attention before being placed in custody. The operations leader also indicated that the police officers involved were under review following the incident.
