Police have arrested more than one person in connection with last month’s break-in at the Dalsbúi mink farm in Mosfellsdal, mbl.is reports, but the case remains unsolved.

Thousands of mink were released from their cages after the fur farm was broken into.

“Arrests have been made, people have been questioned and evidence examined, but I cannot say more at this point,” Hildur Rún Björnsdóttir, an officer with the Reykjavik Metropolitan Police, told mbl.is.

She declined to say how many people had been arrested, citing the sensitive stage of the investigation. No request for remand custody has been made so far, she said.

Hildur Rún said police were also investigating unsolved break-ins at the Reykjabú chicken and turkey farm and the Stjörnugrís pig farm in Kjalarnes.
