Finland to see mostly dry, sunny weather in coming days

Mostly dry weather is forecast across Finland in the coming days, with sunshine in many areas, Yle reports.

Tuesday will be generally dry and partly sunny. A few rain showers are expected mainly in northern Lapland, but rainfall will remain light.

The night was locally cold in the north, with temperatures briefly falling below zero. Colder air is moving into the region, keeping daytime temperatures close to 10 degrees Celsius there. In the south, temperatures will rise to around 20 degrees.

Wednesday will also be mainly dry, with sunshine in many parts of the country. Showers are expected chiefly in northern Lapland and locally in eastern Finland and Kainuu.

Temperatures in the south will rise above 20 degrees, while northern Lapland will remain below 10 degrees.
