Fire breaks out in electricity pole near Hólmsá

Fire broke out at the top of an electricity pole near Hólmsá on Monday evening, mbl.is reports.

Firefighters from the capital area were called to the scene to monitor it alongside police. The top of the pole subsequently fell off, extinguishing the fire.

No firefighting was required. Reykjavík Energy then took over the scene.
