Finnish defence companies grow as dozens launch each year

Dozens of new defence companies are established in Finland every year, according to a study by Yle and Finnish Industry Investment, known as Tesi.

The Finnish defence sector is growing strongly, with the number of companies increasing across all size categories.

Defence companies are found throughout Finland, including in smaller municipalities. The largest concentrations are in the Helsinki region, Tampere and Oulu.

Tesi is a state-owned venture capital company tasked with promoting the growth and competitiveness of Finnish businesses.
