Faroese parliament to consider three opposition proposals Wednesday

Kringvarp Føroya reports that the Faroese parliament will consider three opposition proposals for the first time on Wednesday.

Only the presentation of a proposal is on the agenda for Monday’s parliamentary sitting at 11am.

The proposals scheduled for Wednesday include a bill from Tjóðveldi and Framsókn on short-term rentals, along with two motions for adoption.

All opposition parties want the chief medical officer’s office to be taken over. They also want the government to prepare a comprehensive plan with specific measures to prevent and combat sexual offences, and submit a bill on the plan to parliament.

Oral questions are on the parliamentary agenda on Thursday.
