Political uncertainty cuts tourism to the United States

Foreign travel to the United States has declined during Donald Trump’s second presidential term, Yle reports, citing STT. While international tourism grew globally last year, the trend in the United States was downward, according to the United Nations tourism barometer.

Finnair and travel agency Aventurа told STT that the same phenomenon has also been seen in Finland. Finnair said demand for flights to the United States began weakening in spring last year, with the decline continuing into autumn.

Demand has picked up again this year.
