Yle seeks breastfeeding experiences after mother asked to leave store

Yle is seeking mothers’ experiences of breastfeeding in public places after a young mother was asked to leave a public area at a Prisma store in Kempele, Finland, when she began breastfeeding her baby.

Sofia Sevill described the incident in an earlier Yle report. The Kempele Prisma store confirmed what happened and said it would discuss with staff how breastfeeding situations should be handled.

Other mothers can share their experiences through Yle’s form or by emailing [email protected]. Yle says it will not use responses without contacting the respondent first.
