Copenhagen Police have charged two more people over a violent incident at a World Cup screening in the Islands Brygge district, where a 32-year-old Swedish citizen later died from his injuries, DR reports.

A 24-year-old Danish citizen is charged with trampling on the 32-year-old while he was lying on the ground and hitting another Swedish citizen.

A 29-year-old Somali citizen is charged with kicking the second Swedish man. He is also charged with violating an entry ban imposed in an earlier case. Police charged him by telephone and through his defence lawyer because they have not yet managed to locate him.

A 31-year-old man is already charged in the case. He was previously sentenced to seven years in prison for violating Denmark’s knife law and for attempted murder.

The 31-year-old has been remanded in custody until 26 August. At his initial constitutional hearing on 3 July, he denied guilt.

In the prosecution’s view, the 31-year-old faces between eight and 10 months in prison for knocking down the Swedish man, who hit his head as he fell and later died from his injuries.

The three cases will be heard separately because there is no information indicating that the suspects acted together.
