Kristján Kristjánsson has been appointed one of the presenters of Kastljós, while Rúnar Pálmason will join the investigative news programme Spegillinn, mbl.is reports. Both will begin work in September.
Kristján previously presented Kastljós for six years after the turn of the millennium and is returning to the programme after an absence of nearly two decades. He starts on September 1.
Kristján has worked in the media for three decades, most recently as presenter of Sprengisandur on Bylgjan for 10 years. He previously served as head of communications at Landsbankinn, as an information officer for the government during the first months after the crash, and as director of communications at FL Group.
Rúnar will be one of the presenters of Spegillinn and will start at the beginning of September. He worked for Morgunblaðið for about 15 years, until 2014, when he became Landsbankinn’s web editor and later its information officer. He left that position this summer.
