Whale and terns feast on herring in Steingrímsfjörður

A whale and Arctic terns have been filmed feeding on herring in Steingrímsfjörður fjord, mbl.is reports.

Júlíus Garðar Þorvaldsson, from Hólmavík, captured the footage. He said whales are commonly seen during herring fishing in the fjord and often gather in groups.

“The whale was grabbing herring. This is a normal sight in Steingrímsfjörður. They often come four together to fish for herring at the surface. Then the terns are completely crazy too,” Júlíus told mbl.is.
