Man critically injured in knife attack in Herning city centre

DR reports that police have cordoned off part of central Herning after a man was stabbed. He was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Central and West Jutland Police said the stabbing took place at around 7.10pm in the area around Møllegade and the market square.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward as a witness. They urged people to respect the cordons and follow officers’ instructions.

“There is no danger to the public there,” duty officer Gorm Lauridsen told Ritzau. Police could not say how long the cordons would remain in place.
