Victim to testify on fourth day of Reykholt assault trial

The victim in the Reykholt case is due to testify in court on Thursday, according to mbl.is. The questioning is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. before the District Court of South Iceland.
The hearing is the fourth day of the main proceedings. All the defendants have appeared in court and have either given evidence or declined to do so. One defendant has pleaded guilty.
Six Icelanders are charged with carrying out a particularly dangerous and serious assault on a Palestinian man in his sixties who holds Maltese citizenship. The alleged attack took place in Reykholt in South Iceland two years ago.
The man’s former wife and daughter are expected to testify in the afternoon.
