Reykjavík Airport reopens after small plane accident

Reykjavík Airport was reopened shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday following a small aircraft accident, mbl.is reported.

The airport had been closed for several hours after a malfunction in the landing gear caused the plane to veer off course during landing. Domestic flights were postponed while the Transport Accident Investigation Board examined the scene.

Two people were on board the aircraft, and both escaped unharmed.
