Visit Vágar proposes trying Mykines guide system elsewhere

Visit Vágar development manager Bryndis í Dali says the visitor guidance system used on Mykines could be introduced elsewhere in the Faroe Islands, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The Faroe Islands are receiving increasing numbers of tourists. While most visitors respect nature and the procedures in place, some fail to show sufficient restraint.

On Mykines, local guides provide guidance to visitors. Í Dali says a similar system could be tested in other parts of the country.
