Police continue search for Katja Miinalainen

Police are continuing to search for Katja Miinalainen, Yle reports. Several police departments have taken part in searches conducted on land and water between 2022 and 2026.
The Lapland Police Department has provided significant assistance. The Defence Forces and the Finnish Border Guard have also supported the searches.
Police say searches have focused especially on the areas around Jerisjärvi, Äkäsjärvi, Äkäsjoki, Aakenuksentie and Levikairantie.
The most recent searches took place in the Tepasto area of Kittilä in early August. Police used the searches to follow up on tips they had received.
