Students in Oulu and Hollola prepare for new school year

Meeri Leskelä from Oulu is preparing for seventh grade. She packs her backpack with a water bottle, phone, power bank, binder, headphones, and a pencil case. Additionally, she includes an emergency kit containing chewing gum, lip balm, and a nail file. Meeri notes that she hasn’t bought any new items for the school year, as everything she needs was already available. She admits to feeling a bit nervous about starting seventh grade.

Meanwhile, Niilo Hentilä from Hollola is heading to preschool. He fills his backpack with shoes, a change of clothes, and a rain jacket. Niilo also adds a pencil case with pencils, a couple of erasers, and a sharpener, leaving little room for anything else. He mentions that he already knows some of the things taught in preschool, such as the alphabet, and he estimates that there will be more studying than playing.
