Temperatures are expected to reach 12 to 18C in many parts of Iceland today, with bright and sunny weather widely forecast, mbl.is reports.
A low-pressure system south of the country is expected to move away. Winds will ease in the south, while generally light winds are forecast in the north.
Light rain is possible in the Eastfjords and southeastern Iceland, but most other areas should remain bright and sunny. Temperatures will be cooler along the east coast.
The Icelandic Meteorological Office says conditions should remain calm, dry and mild on Wednesday and Thursday. Cloud cover is expected to increase in western Iceland later on Thursday, possibly bringing drizzle.
Deeper low-pressure systems with southerly winds and rain are then expected to approach, with the heaviest rainfall in the south and west. Warm conditions are expected to continue.
