Police investigate assault after person falls down Oulu slope
Yle reports that police are investigating an alleged assault and suspected injury after a person fell over a fence and down a steep slope at Koitelinkoski in Oulu during the night between Friday and Saturday.
Police said the fall was preceded by deliberate physical contact, such as punching or pushing. The person rolled four to five metres down the slope.
Investigative leader Jarno Väliaho said the slope was steep and the incident could have had very serious consequences. Both the injured person and the suspect have been interviewed.
The two are both around middle age and knew each other. They had attended a festival held at Koitelinkoski, but the suspected offence occurred outside the festival grounds shortly before midnight.
People nearby, including festival workers, arranged help at the scene. There were not many people present when the incident happened.
