Food authority recalls bread after metal piece found

Matvælastofnun, the food authority, has recalled one production batch of Euro Market bread from Lindabakarí after a metal piece was found in one loaf, mbl.is reported. The recall was carried out in cooperation with the health inspectorate in the capital area.

Only bread with a best-before date of 14 August 2026 and barcode 5906681555776 is affected. The bread was sold in Euro Market stores.

Consumers are advised not to eat the bread. They should dispose of it or return it to their nearest Euro Market store for a refund. No other production batches are covered by the recall.
