Tjørnuvík tunnel remains next, but builder is uncertain

The Tjørnuvík tunnel remains next in line now that the Dalstunnilin tunnel has been completed, but it has not been decided how the project will be carried out or when construction can begin, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The Landsverk tunnel team built the Dalstunnilin, and the plan had been for it to continue the work towards Tjørnuvík. It is now unclear whether the team will also build the Tjørnuvík tunnel.

Jacob Vestergaard, the transport minister, says the decision will be made in connection with the budget bill this autumn.

Earlier this year, Vestergaard decided to close Landsverk’s project department.
