Tuusula police officer faces aggravated injury charge after moped pursuit

Yle reported on Monday that a police officer suspected of cutting off a moped rider in Tuusula is now suspected of aggravated causing of bodily injury. Ilta-Sanomat first reported the change.
The officer was previously suspected of causing bodily injury. The officer is also suspected of aggravated endangerment of traffic safety and breach of official duty.
According to Ilta-Sanomat, the officer who cut off the moped rider has not yet been questioned in the preliminary investigation.
The incident took place on August 8, when the officer pursued a moped rider who had taken part in a moped gathering.
Helsinki Police are investigating the moped rider’s actions. The young person is preliminarily suspected of aggravated endangerment of traffic safety, driving a vehicle without a licence and a vehicle offence.
