Police suspect drunk driving after concrete truck leaves road

A concrete mixer truck left the road and ended up in a ditch in Kirkkonummi early Monday morning, Yle reports.

Western Uusimaa Police received a report of the accident shortly before 5 a.m. The driver was the only person in the truck and was not injured.

Police suspect the driver of endangering traffic safety and driving while intoxicated. The accident happened west of central Kirkkonummi.

The truck’s recovery and removal may affect traffic on Highway 51 later today. Police currently expect the operation to begin in the evening.
