Finland, public transport, train delays

Several commuter trains have been cancelled and other services delayed because of a railway systems fault between Kauklahti in Espoo and Kauniainen, Yle reports.

VR said A, E and U trains on the coastal line were affected. The fault is being investigated, and Fintraffic has not provided an estimate for when it will be repaired.

The disruption is also affecting long distance trains. InterCity train IC951 from Helsinki to Turku, scheduled to depart at 11.35, was 29 minutes late. VR said the train may recover some of the delay. The H train connection at Karjaa will wait for passengers transferring from it.

Helsinki Region Transport estimated that the fault would be repaired by 13.00.
