Police investigate hidden camera found in hospital changing room

Police are investigating after hospital staff found a hidden camera in the ceiling of a women’s changing room at North Zealand Hospital in Hillerød, DR reported.

“It is invasive and a violation of boundaries for those who have used the changing room,” Sabine Mazurek, the nurses’ joint union representative at the hospital, told P1 Morgen. She is also deputy chair of the hospital’s cooperation committee.

The camera was found on Friday, 7 August, and police were called immediately. It is not yet clear who placed it there or how long it had been in the room.

No other cameras have been found, but staff continue to check the changing rooms. The room is used daily by 24 women who have lockers there.

All employees who have used the changing room have received a special letter informing them that they can speak with managers and receive psychological support if needed. The rest of the hospital’s staff have also been informed through the hospital intranet.

Mazurek said the atmosphere was relatively calm, but warned that some employees may react later because it is currently the summer holiday period. She said she expected further internal consequences among staff.

North Zealand Police told DR that the investigation is continuing but could not say whether anyone had been suspected in the case.
