Police assist blood-covered man in central Reykjavik

Police in the capital region received a report of a blood-covered man walking in central Reykjavik on Thursday evening or during the night, mbl.is reports. According to the police log, the man had been involved in an accident and was assisted.

Police also received a report of a pickpocketing incident in the city centre, which is under investigation. The same intoxicated man was reported twice for bothering others. He was arrested and taken to a police station.

Several drivers were stopped for speeding, running red lights or using mobile phones without hands-free equipment. One driver was stopped after a child was found without a seat belt in the car, and the driver also did not have a driving licence in their possession. At least two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
