Áfram Ísland holds open meeting in Reykjanesbær

Áfram Ísland is holding an open meeting at the Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Reykjanesbær at 5pm on Thursday, mbl.is reports.

Áfram Ísland is a forum for people who want to choose an Icelandic future on their own terms in the referendum on 29 August.

The speakers will be Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, Halldór Benjamín Þorbergsson, Ingvar Eyfjörð and Berglind Ragnarsdóttir.

The meeting will be chaired by Hermann Nökkvi Gunnarsson, a political science student and former journalist.

The event is open to everyone, but registration is required through the Áfram Ísland website. The meeting will also be streamed live.
