House fire fully engulfs home in Kapp

A house in Kapp, in Østre Toten, was fully engulfed by fire on Thursday afternoon, NRK reported. Heavy smoke led authorities to advise people nearby to keep their doors and windows closed.

Emergency services are at the scene. Police said there were no indications that anyone had been injured, and that the fire was not expected to spread to other buildings.

Firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze and bring it under control. Police were helping keep people away from the scene and directing traffic, operations leader Tommy Økland told NRK.
