Andreas Kulseng misses 200-metre semi-finals in Birmingham

Andreas Kulseng of Larvik failed to advance from the 200-metre heats at the athletics European Championships in Birmingham, NRK reported.

Running into a strong headwind, the 25-year-old finished third in his heat. His time was three hundredths of a second too slow to qualify for the semi-finals.

Kulseng, who won gold with Norway’s relay team earlier in the championships, said he would not blame the wind.

“I felt that it was tough, but two athletes advance from the heat. I have to run faster,” he said.
