Drizzle to affect much of Iceland as temperatures reach 20C

Drizzle or light rain will affect much of Iceland on Thursday, while the southwest will see little precipitation after noon, mbl.is reports. Temperatures will range from 8C to 20C, with the warmest conditions in the east.

North or variable winds of 5 to 13 metres per second are expected, strongest offshore from the Westfjords.

On Friday, winds will turn more northerly at 8 to 13 metres per second. Northern Iceland will remain mostly cloudy, with some precipitation, while conditions will gradually clear in the south and west. Temperatures will range from 5C to 8C in the north and east, and reach up to 20C in the south.

In the capital region, light variable winds and drizzle or light rain are expected on Thursday, followed by mostly dry conditions after noon. Friday will bring northerly winds of 5 to 10 metres per second and mostly clear skies, with temperatures of 11C to 16C.
