Total eclipse creates dramatic spectacle over Barðaströnd

A camera operated by mbl.is near Rauðsdalsfjall mountain on Barðaströnd captured striking footage of the total solar eclipse over Iceland earlier on Wednesday evening.

Cloud cover prevented the sun from being seen from Barðaströnd, as weather conditions were not ideal. However, the footage clearly shows the change in light created by the eclipse.

Photographer Vilius Petrikas was shown beside the camera on Barðaströnd.
