More than 10,000 track NASA eclipse flight over Iceland

More than 10,000 people are following a NASA research aircraft flying over Iceland on FlightRadar, mbl.is reports. The flight is currently the most popular one being tracked on the website.

The aircraft took off at around 3pm on Wednesday and is circling off the Westfjords. Its mission is to photograph the total solar eclipse.

FlightRadar also shows private jets taking to the air. An unusually large number of private jets arrived in Iceland earlier this week because of the eclipse.
