Wrexham have had two bids rejected for Viking defender Henrik Falchener, 23, from Tønsberg, NRK reports. The Championship club’s latest offer is 8.1 million euros, or just over 103 million Norwegian kroner, according to The Athletic reporter David Ornstein.
Negotiations between the clubs are continuing, Ornstein reports. The proposed fee would be a transfer record for the Welsh club, which is owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The bids come as Viking prepare for two crucial matches against Dinamo Zagreb in Champions League qualifying.
Falchener began his career in local football with Flint Tønsberg, Sandefjord and Ørn Horten before moving on to Egersund. After joining Viking ahead of the 2025 season, he quickly established himself as a key player as the Stavanger club won its first league title since 1991.
His performances also earned him a place in the Norway squad. He made his international debut in a 0–0 draw against Switzerland in March and started his second international when Norway faced France at the World Cup.
