Folkely Festival in Hundested, North Zealand, is offering 20,000 kroner to a person who can attend the three-day event as a secret guest without being identified, DR reports.

The successful applicant must take part in the festival like any other guest while concealing that they have been hired for the role.

Festival director Mark Rydahl said the organisers are looking for a social person who will join in with the other guests rather than hide away, as well as someone who can keep a secret.

The guest must be at least 18 years old and able to attend all three days of the festival. Organisers have received around 1,000 applications so far, while approximately 8,000 people are expected to attend each day.

The initiative is intended to encourage conversations and create a shared experience among festivalgoers. Organisers also hope it will distinguish Folkely Festival from other events.

If the secret guest is discovered, the 20,000 kroner will instead be donated to a local association in North Zealand.

On the final day, five people will appear on the main stage and the audience will vote on who they believe is the secret guest. Festivalgoers can also submit their suspicions online during the event.

Folkely Festival will take place from 20 to 22 August. Applications for the secret guest role close on Friday, 14 August.
