Survey finds Finnish companies see defence industry opportunities

More than half of Finland’s large companies believe the defence industry offers business opportunities, either directly or indirectly, Yle reported, citing a survey commissioned by OP Pohjola.

Nearly nine in 10 companies said geopolitical events this year had increased risks related to their businesses and operations. Sixty-nine per cent said the geopolitical situation had influenced their long-term strategic decisions.

Almost one in three companies said they had responded to geopolitical uncertainty by moving supply chains to Finland or nearby regions.

The survey, conducted by Taloustutkimus for OP Pohjola, received responses from 100 companies with annual revenue of at least 200 million euros.
