Car crashes through Sarpsborg pharmacy, injuring customer

A car crashed through a pharmacy at the Lande Senter shopping centre in Sarpsborg on Monday morning, Dagbladet reported.

A customer standing at the checkout was hit and trapped between the counter and the car. The customer suffered minor injuries, according to operations manager Ronny Hellerud Samuelsen of the Eastern Police District.

There was one person in the car. Police photographs showed that it drove through the entire pharmacy and into the prescription counters.

The pharmacy, which belongs to the Boots Apotek chain, sustained extensive damage.

Several other cars were hit before the vehicle entered the pharmacy, Samuelsen said. The driver, a woman in her 50s, was being assessed by medical personnel.
