Police investigate violence and detain traveller with hashish

Police are investigating a reported assault in Klaksvík and have detained a traveller carrying more than 60 grams of hashish, KVF reports.

Police received a report of violence in Klaksvík on Sunday night. They said they know who carried out the assault and are investigating the case.

On Sunday, a traveller was detained at Vágar Airport with just over 60 grams of hashish.

Police also investigated a report from Tórshavn during Ólavsøka, when a driver approached three young girls. After speaking with the driver and the girls, police concluded that no criminal offence had taken place. It has not been disclosed what the driver wanted from the girls.

Another driver was detained on Sunday after travelling with a caravan without the required driving licence.
