Finland, rain, weather

A low-pressure system will move east across Finland on Monday, bringing rain and windy conditions to much of the country, Yle reports.

Rain will reach western and northern Finland in the afternoon, spreading to the east during the evening and overnight. Before the rain arrives, eastern Finland will be warm and partly sunny. Southwesterly winds will be gusty, particularly in southern and central Finland.

Daytime temperatures will range from 10 to 23 degrees Celsius, with the warmest conditions in the east.

On Tuesday, scattered showers will continue across Finland as the low-pressure system moves east of the country. Cloud cover will generally be fairly extensive, although some areas may also see sunshine. Lapland will be drier than the rest of Finland.

Winds will turn northerly behind the system, bringing cooler air. Temperatures will range from 8 to 19 degrees.

Dry weather is expected to return in many parts of Finland on Wednesday, which will be the last day of the summer holiday for many people.
