Copenhagen Police report that a person has been shot near a jewelry store on Falkoner Allé. The individual’s condition is currently unknown, as authorities are heavily present at the scene. The police stated on social media that the injured person has been transported to the hospital for treatment.
Eyewitness Allan Barleth was walking with colleagues when he heard gunshots. He described seeing a man running toward them at high speed before heading into the metro station. There was no doubt among bystanders that shots had been fired. Barleth recalled people shouting, “There are shots fired,” while some began to cry and others hurried into nearby shops for cover.
Falkoner Allé has been cordoned off between Howitizvej and Nyelandsvej, and Frederiksberg Metro Station is currently closed. The situation is still developing.
