Cabin fire spreads into woodland in Lillestrøm

A cabin and another small building caught fire in woodland at Frogner in Lillestrøm on Sunday evening, Dagbladet reported. Emergency services were sent to the fire at Heksebergåsen.

The fire spread to some extent through the surrounding terrain, but there was no immediate danger to other buildings in the area, police said.

Firefighters were working to prevent the flames from spreading further through the woodland.

People who notice the smell of smoke were advised to close their windows and switch off ventilation to prevent smoke from entering their homes.

Police said the cause of the fire was not yet known.
