Average annual salary in fishing industry reaches 1,369,000 DKK for 2023

The average annual salary per person in the fishing industry for 2023 was 1,369,000 DKK, according to the national statistics office’s website. The site now provides the ability to create salary tables by industry.

Conversely, the home fleet of bottom fishing recorded an average income of just over 344,000 DKK annually in 2023. No other industry, apart from the deep-sea fishing and Barents Sea fleets, has an average annual salary exceeding 500,000 DKK, according to the statistical foundation.

In contrast, salaries in the accommodation and restaurant industry remain the lowest, with an average of 160,000 DKK in 2023. The low average income per person may indicate that many within this sector are working part-time. For reference, the salary in healthcare and social services was recorded at 272,600 DKK in 2023.
