Horse accident near Kirkjubæjarklaustur leaves person with head injury

Vísir.is reported that the Icelandic Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched on Saturday evening after a person was kicked in the head in a horse accident near Kirkjubæjarklaustur.

Einar Valsson, the operation manager, told mbl.is that the person suffered a head injury.

“The helicopter is heading towards the ambulance to collect the patient,” Valsson said.

The helicopter was expected to take over the patient at Skógar. No further information was immediately available about the person’s condition.
