Boy seriously injured in cycling accident at motorcross centre

A young boy was seriously injured in a cycling accident at the Krabyskogen motorcross centre in Østre Toten on Saturday evening, Dagbladet reports.
The boy, who is of primary school age, fell off his bicycle and was flown to Oslo by air ambulance for treatment, police operations leader Bård Einar Hoft of the Innlandet police district told Dagbladet.
The child’s parents have been notified. It is not yet known why he fell.
Several minors witnessed the accident, according to police. Officers were at the motorcross centre to investigate, and the area was closed after the incident, Oppland Arbeiderblad reported.
Motor sport club manager Bjørn Myhre confirmed that an event had taken place at the track on Saturday, but said the accident was not connected to it.
