Police report smooth Pride parade in Reykjavík

The Pride Parade in central Reykjavík proceeded without reported incidents on Saturday, according to mbl.is. The parade began at 2pm, alongside events organised as part of Hinsegin dagar.

Árni Friðleifsson, deputy chief of the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police traffic department, said the day had gone well so far.

“It has gone very well, and there have been no accidents or reports of anything, at least none that I have heard of,” Árni told mbl.is.

He said the parade had drawn a large crowd. The programme was still under way and was scheduled to continue into the evening.
