Weekend brings sunshine to southern Finland and showers north

Southern and western Finland will be widely sunny on Saturday, while rain and strong winds affect parts of the country, Yle reports.

Temperatures will range from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius in the south and west. Rain linked to a small area of low pressure will move across central Finland, with the heaviest rainfall expected in the southern parts of Lapland and North Ostrobothnia.

Winds will be particularly strong in Central and North Ostrobothnia.

Sunday will be mostly dry in southern and central Finland, although isolated showers are possible. Temperatures will rise by a few degrees from Saturday.

Scattered rain will continue in northern Finland. On Monday, a broad area of rain will move across the country, and winds will strengthen further.
