Finland, Lapland, weather

A low-pressure system will bring rain to western Finland on Wednesday, Yle reports. Temperatures will rise above 20 degrees in the south, although extensive cloud cover will limit the warming.

Most of the country will remain below 20 degrees. Scattered showers are also possible in central Finland and Lapland.

In the evening, the rain will spread slightly eastwards. The far south and northern Finland will remain mostly dry. The showers may bring isolated thunderstorms, particularly over sea areas.

People in Lapland should prepare for ground frost overnight, as the risk is high.

On Thursday, the weather will become more unsettled, with the low-pressure system bringing more widespread rain and thunderstorms.
